Job Description:
- Build, train and mentor the NOC team.
- Accountable for a 24X7 Network Operation Center’s (NOC) shift operations and personnel.
- Oversee day to day NOC operations, escalations, ticketing, and communication with all stakeholders.
- Develop and implement NOC policies, processes, procedures, and systems requirements.
- Ensure continual improvement including automation of routine tasks, and implementation/fine-tuning of monitoring/observability tools.
- Responsible for managing alert responses, incidents, and outages.
- Perform tier-1 and 2 escalation support and act as the NOC point of contact for all incidents.
- Generate regular NOC reports/metrics including service availability, MTTR/MTTD, and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Manage staff schedule to provide 24x7 coverage.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of hands-on Linux/Unix/Windows System Administration including OS installation/ hardening/patching, networking, firewalls, load balancers, SSH, mail and DNS.
- 2+ years managing NOC team supporting AWS cloud platform.
- Solid experience with alert response, incident/outage management, and problem management.
- Great understanding of cloud networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VPNs, VPCs, Security Groups, Transit Gateways.
- Experience deploying, configuring, and using monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Great communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
